Meet the Founder

I started Beyond Corporate Life and Dynamic Foundations Institute when I found my purpose in life. 

I grew up in a small town in Mississippi with two wonderful, loving parents who encouraged my two sisters and me to always: 

1. save for a rainy day, 
2. get a good education because it is the key to success, 
3. and find a stable- good job for it makes for a great life. 

Of course, we all implemented these principles. 

I also admired something else that my parents did, although I didn’t learn its value until I reached adulthood. My parents enjoyed life and were very mindful of how they treated others. 

Now, what does all of this have to do with Beyond Corporate Life, you might ask. Unbeknownst to me, I have been using these skills during my corporate career, and these skills have helped me find my purpose in life. 

I always found myself in situations where coworkers, friends, and even complete strangers would seek me to have intriguing, though-provoking, strategizing conversations. I found myself listening for hours at a time, helping others, and coaching them. I truly enjoyed these conversations, and they inspired my interest in becoming a coach. 

As I was having conversations helping others with their lives and business matters, I silently had my own internal struggles. I had difficulty managing my passions (i.e., helping others through coaching and supporting entrepreneurs with business startups and growth) versus what I was getting paid to do as a career. 

My corporate career has been gratifying in the past. I work for a Fortune 100 company, assisting with establishing manufacturing plants domestically and internationally and providing human resources support. This job is fantastic, but I began to wonder if there was more to life. I have a great job, but I do not have an opportunity to help others grow in a meaningful way due to the mechanics of a large corporation.

It took me several years and a breaking point in my corporate career, which led to an epiphany to create a business assisting small businesses with consulting services and coaching others with their own “corporate” struggles. 

In 2018 I created Dynamic Foundations Institute or DFI. DFI is a consulting firm targeted towards small and medium-sized businesses seeking to standardize and grow. We provide HR services, process implementation, and other administrative needs. 

Then in 2021, I created Beyond Corporate Life as a division of DFI. Beyond Corporate Life focuses on helping those who face various obstacles in life and business to overcome them to develop their legacies. At Beyond Corporate Life, we would work with clients to identify their “corporate,” which is a euphemism for any obstacle preventing one from succeeding. After that, we then provide additional support through coaching and courses to help each person overcome their obstacles and create a legacy they deserve. 

When I am not working, I enjoy reading, learning, cooking, spending time with my family, and cultivating my relationship with God. I try my best to live each day by walking in my purpose and doing just a little something to help someone else. My goal is to live by the principles and examples that my parents have taught me.
